Marketing Officer
Marketing officers are involved in aspects of marketing, including: planning; advertising; promotion; public/media relations; product development; distribution; sponsorship; and research. The role is often challenging, varied and exciting.
What you would do:
- liaise and build relationships with a range of stakeholders, eg customers, suppliers, colleagues
- develop advertising opportunities, which can involve placing adverts in national, regional and specialist publications, or on the radio
- maintain and build contacts with the media
- write and distribut press releases
- prepare photo shoots
- manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters and flyers - this can involve writing and proofreading copy, and liaising with designers and printers
- arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materials
- maintain and update mailing databases
- organise and attend events and exhibitions
- secure sponsorship to assist with the publicity and funding of marketing projects
- carry out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness
- evaluate marketing campaigns
- monitor competitor activity
- contribute to long-term marketing plans and strategies
- manage budgets
- support the marketing manager, and other colleagues
You need to be:

You will require:
- Diploma of Business (Marketing)
