Drainlayer

Drainlayers lay and repair sewage and storm water drains, and put in and repair waste water treatment systems.

Meter Reader

Meter readers visit customers' homes and businesses to take routine meter readings.  They check and record meter readings, usually on hand-held computer terminals. The information is then input on to a main computer system, and fed through to the energy supplying company for customer billing purposes.

Operations & Maintenance Technician - Rural

Operations and Maintenance Technicians (rural) perform operational and maintenance activities to assure continuity of operations of assigned facilities within a water service provider. O&M Technicians are employed in urban water Authorities (to look after the water and wastewater pipe networks or water and wastewater treatment plant assets) and also in the rural water Authorities (to look after the maintenance of channels and drains; pumping networks or dams and reservoirs).

Operations & Maintenance Technicians - Urban

Operations and Maintenance Technicians (urban) perform operational and maintenance activities to assure continuity of operations of assigned facilities within a water service provider. Plumber

Plumbers and gasfitters assemble, install and repair the pipes, fixtures and fittings used to supply water and gas or remove wastes.

Water Distribution Officer

Water Distribution Officers (rural) perform operational and maintenance activities to supply and regulate the delivery of bulk water to downstream users including town and cities and irrigators.

Water Sampler

A Water Sampler monitors the allocation and use of water from water resources including streams, rivers and underground water. A water sampler may also investigate hydrological records to determine the ability of water resources to meet new requirements or demands and investigate complaints.
