    Civil Engineer

    There are many facets of civil engineering. Generally civil engineers plan, design, construct, operate and maintain roads, bridges, dams, water supply schemes, sewerage systems, transportation, harbours, canals, dockyards, airports, railways, factories and large buildings.

    Civil Engineering Technologist

    Civil engineering technologists support and supervise a range of functions to assist civil engineers in the research, design, construction and maintenance of civil engineering projects. Typical projects include dwellings, large buildings, railways, roads, bridges, airports, ports and docks, dams and water supply systems.

    Mining and Materials Engineer

    Mining and Materials Engineers plan and direct the engineering aspects of locating and extracting minerals, petroleum and natural gas from the Earth, and of commercial application of materials, manufacturing processes and products.
